Black Shire yearling gelding
Locomotion is a very well grown yearling gelding with movement to die for. He is a full brother to one of our up and coming show mares, Ingleside America, who has been hugely successful despite her young age. Locomotion (named because he moves like a train!) has all the class of his sister and would be an amazing ride and drive gelding. Estimated to make 18hh and priced to sell!
Full registry Shire yearling filly
Grace is another beautifully bred filly, by Escrick Extreme (Imp UK) and out of Ingleside Anastasia, a Sydney Royal Champion mare. Anna was a highly successful member of our show team from a foal, not only winning many championships in hand, but also under saddle. Grace shows the same active movement as her mother and would make an outstanding ridden prospect, and an equally good show prospect. Perfect markings, stunning movement, correct conformation and great breeding – this filly has got the lot!
Aria is an exceptionally well bred filly, jet black and very well marked. She is out of one of our fabulous show mares, Ingleside Harmony, who is sensational under saddle. She is by our imported stallion Escrick Extreme, and is already showing exceptional height like her dad, with the potential to make a true 18hh+ horse.
She has amazing foot and feather and is extremely friendly – always the first to come up to you in the paddock. Aria could be an outstanding asset to any stud, be a great show horse or an affectionate member of the family!
Aria has sold to Judy King and Alan Mayne in the Adelaide Hills. She will be their fifth Ingleside Shire!
Black Shire foal, available at weaning
Drumroll is a quality colt that will make an outstanding show horse in any discipline. Out of our amazing show mare Ingleside Madeline, who has won championships wherever she has gone since a foal (including Supreme Champion Shire at Sydney Royal, and the championships at both Gatton and Werribee specialist heavy horse shows), and by Escirck Extreme (Imp UK), we have retained his full brother from last year as a potential future stud stallion. Drumroll is very correct and a great, active mover.
Will be SHSA registered. To be gelded.
Ingleside Trump Card
Black Shire foal, available at weaning
Very closely related to our other colt foal for sale, Trump Card is out of Ingleside Miranda, another great show horse and full sister to Ingleside Madeline, by Escrick Extreme. He again has the makings of a great show horse, and could equally make a talented ridden or harness horse. Spectacularly marked.
Will be SHSA registered. To be gelded.
Yearling Clydesdale colt
Highlander is one of the rare Clydesdales that we breed and he is all quality, with amazing bloodlines behind him. Out of Aarunga Gina (closely related to the very successful Aarunga Mark) and by Myrtle Park Sky Hi (Dillars Lesmahagow x Myrtle Park Una), we are thrilled with this colt and if he were a filly he wouldn’t be going anywhere! He has amazing limbs, super silky and fine hair, and a wonderful hind set. He has always been super friendly and easy to work with. Available as a colt, or can be gelded.
Daisy is a beautiful filly, very correct with a big personality. Out of Ingleside Curio (Oakridge Speculator x Tullymore Boronia) by Escrick Extreme, Daisy has all the qualities to take her to the top in the show ring, and the character to make a super partner at home. She has big, athletic movement, which would make her a powerhouse under saddle.
Daisy has sold to a fabulous home with Louise Brown. She will be their first Shire and we look forward to seeing them in the show ring in the future!
Jubilee is a stunning filly with great potential to be a wonderful show horse, riding horse, harness horse, brood mare or companion. She is extremely eye catching with an exceptionally pretty face, lovely movement and correct conformation. She is one of our tallest foals this year and is expected to reach close to 18hh when mature.
Sired by Speculator, Jubilee is a classic example of the style and quality he is known for passing on to his foals, with that little extra pizazz from her dam, who is from a long line of harness-bred horses.Click here to read more about Speculator.
Speculator is the most prolific and successful Shire stallion in Australia, the father of many winning show horses, with his progeny dominating the young horse classes of up-and-coming Shires. Many of Jubilee’s half siblings had excellent results at Sydney Royal.
Jubilee has sold to Antebellum Drums, where she will go on to breed fabulous Drum Horses in the future!
Rocky is a striking Shire gelding with a fabulous ‘look at me’ presence. He is the first foal from one of our current, and very successful, show mares, Ingleside Anastasia (who is by Oakridge Speculator and out of one of our best mares), and by the stallion Longcopy Helvetica Black.
Rocky would make an ideal riding or driving horse, as he has spectacular movement and an athletic build. He has lovely conformation, with the beautiful flat limbs and joints so sought after in the show ring.
Sold to the lovely Ingrid Varnerin of Oberon as her first Shire and future riding horse.
Black with four even white socks, he is perfectly marked and with ‘hitchy’ movement and great presence, he will always be one of those ‘look at me’ horses. A great mover, he’d excel in ridden and harness, but also has the conformation to perform well in led classes.
Imperial has sold to the NSW North Coast where he will be Vicki Townley’s first Shire. Move over Quarter Horses!
Ingleside Ace of Spades
2 year old, black registered Shire gelding, broken to ride. Currently stands 16.3hh, should mature 17+hh. Has been professionally broken and is very quiet, willing and easy to ride. Good in traffic and has been out to a training day where he was unflappable. Goes well on both leads, walk, trot and canter, and started over small jumps. Easy to catch, trim and load on a truck or float. Has been well handled from a foal. Dam: Ingleside Emily. Sire: Southern Cross Boxer. Congratulations to Alan and Juday of SA where Ace is now a much loved member of their herd!
Charisma is a truely beautiful Shire filly and we had planned on keeping her as a show horse and brood mare. However with our herd growing in size, when we received an offer of a wonderful, loving home for Charisma, we very reluctantly decided to part with her. She headed to South Australia with her herd-mate Penny to live with Alan Mayne and Judy King after the 2012 Sydney Royal.
Penny is out of our most successful broodmare and we would love to keep her, but with a full sister and various other close relatives in our herd we made the hard decision to part with her. She will be a great show horse and hopefully go on to breed as many quality foals as her sisters. Congratulations to Judy King and Alan Mayne who took Penny to her new home in South Australia after the 2012 Sydney Royal!
Ingleside Lucky Chance
Lucky is out of a fantasic mare, bred for harness. He is already growing very tall and we think he’ll go on to be a great riding or driving horse, as well as a quality show horse. Congratulations to James Crisp and Sarah Dooley who have bought Lucky as their first Shire!
Ingleside Midnight Special
Black gelding, four white socks. Midnight is a great quality foal we think will go on to a great future in any discipline. Midnight has gone to his new home with Sugarloaf Shires where he will join a number of his brothers and sisters!
Due to our limited space, we have decided to offer Emily for sale this year. She is black, 9 years old and has already bred five lovely foals. Emily is a B register mare, by the stallion Ingleside Might’n’Power, and out of the beautiful Clydesdale mare Myrtle Park Julia. Her first foal, Ingleside Flash Dance (by Trelow Father Abraham) has twice won the gelding class at Sydney Royal. This year she had another beautiful colt to Oakridge Speculator, who is already sold to Flash’s owners.
All of Emily’s foals have been black and most have had four white socks. Emily is easy to handle, very friendly and good to catch, shoe and float. She is tested in foal to Oakridge Speculator this year.
Congratulations to Emma and Cai Thomas of Darkmoor Shires who have purchased Emily.
Remarkable is impeccably bred, out of Ingleside Elizabeth by Oakridge Speculator. He is a beautiful black colt with four white socks and amazing presence. This video was filmed when he was just 12 months old – as you can see he is already tall and will grow into a very big horse.
Congratulations to Scott and Kate Williams who recently purchased Remarkable as their future stud stallion.
